A large mining company in South Africa sought to upgrade its outdated chrome ore beneficiation plant to meet the growing global demand for ferrochrome and stainless steel raw materials. The previous production line suffered from insufficient mineral liberation, low concentrate recovery, high tailings loss, and poor dewatering efficiency, limiting both productivity and product quality.
To improve resource utilization and achieve stable large-scale production, Zhonghui Machinery designed and supplied a complete 10,000 TPD chrome ore processing plant. The customized solution combines efficient crushing, precision grinding, thickening, and vacuum filtration to maximize concentrate recovery while reducing operating costs and water consumption.
The production line is equipped with a vibrating feeder, jaw crusher, cone crusher, ball mill, thickener, and vacuum belt filter, together with belt conveyors, intelligent electrical control, and water recycling systems.
The vibrating feeder ensures stable material feeding, while the jaw crusher and cone crusher perform primary and secondary crushing for optimal grinding size. The ball mill provides efficient mineral liberation, followed by thickening and vacuum filtration to produce high-grade chrome concentrate with low moisture content. The fully integrated system enables continuous, automated, and energy-efficient operation.
